New Website

Well, this is the last post here at this site.  I have decided to set up a new website with a host that offers more options.  It is going to take a while to get everything on there, so it is pretty bare to start.  Because shawwebspace does not offer the ability to redirect, here is the link to the new place:

See you there!

Jan 22, 2016

Finished off the fuel depot this week.  I modified it to have an upper platform with leftover parts from the maintenance facility.  For the decals I downloaded warning sign images and printed them on decal paper.

Still need to add some rust and weathering.

Jan 10, 2016

I finally dropped off the GP-38's to James at CEMR on Friday.  He was nice enough to give me a quick tour of the place.  They are quite busy with quite a few units on the go.  I should have brought my camera and taken a few pics.

Finished up the concrete pad for the engine house and service facility today.  It was more work than I anticipated but I think it turned out ok in the end.

With the money I got for the GP-38's I ordered up some sound decoders for the BNSF AC4400 and VIA F40PH.  Installing those will be the next project.

Diesel Service Facility

Started working on a service facility that will go next to the new shops.  I found this kit online.  It is too big for the area I have so I will have to make a few modifications.

The Gold Spike!

It was a monumental weekend on the CMMR - the driving of the gold spike!  All the trackwork is now complete.  I still need to hook up a couple of tortoise switch machines to control the turnouts that I can't reach.  Next I want to get the shops put in place and start the maintenance area.
